The bad news ... we're fucked.

Neo-American Isolationism

During the 1930s, US isolationists advocated non-involvement in international politics and affairs.

Approaching the 2030s, our increasingly unhinged policies are leading the world to isolate us like harmful cells in an act of self-preservation.

We've become Felicia.

The administration took down the reproductive rights website that women need access to. So The Skimm bought a url and brought the content back. Pass this on!

Go to reproductive rights dotgov.com

This is how to do it!
In quietness and confidence.

I've decided this time around I'll react to the lunacy with a shrug and a premeditated "Hmm. I guess monkeys play bagpipes while riding a unicorn now. Pass the beer-nuts."
Not surrender, just sidestepping a charging drunken elephant bound to crash into a fruit cart on the corner of Flatbush Ave.

Still waiting....

It may well be that we will have to repent in this generation. Not merely for the vitriolic words and the violent actions of the bad people, but for the appalling silence and indifference of the good people who sit around and say, "Wait on time."

We should help each other, even people we don't know or will never meet, not because pity or guilt palls our being or because we feel compelled to cast crumbs on the deserving but because it is the only way the good side of humanity defeats the evil side of humanity. Now, more than ever.

The weather handed #TeflonDon a gift. Moving the inauguration indoors minimizes the need to explain his small hands,
errrr, turnout.

Capitalism isnt about competition, it's about eliminating it. It's only concern is ROI. This is optimized in an oligarchy. Oligarchs are outnumbered but counter using distraction, creating bogey men to fear. Restrict scrutiny by eliminating independent journalism. Nothing new. A tough road ahead.

As much as I've always wanted the Polar Bear back, I'm afraid Scott Boras has screwed Mets fans and Alonso beyond the point of reconciliation. Love you Pete, but don't let the bullpen door hit you in the ass on the way out. At some point you need to know when it's about more than money #nymets #lfgm
