Sorry, but that's a silly thing to say. You might as well say that paintings have too many colors. Reducing the length of a medium to an arbitrary number that corresponds to a personal comfort factor is not how art functions.

Bought my copy on vinyl in the 80s from Revolver records in Greenwich village and the guy behind the counter, in a fatherly and benign warning manner said, "kid, are you absolutely sure you want to buy this album?" You could clearly see that he genuinely felt bad taking my money for it, lol.
