I’m no luddite, but have different interests and priorities that keep sports viewing an irregular experience.

The sports entertainment *industry* is a scourge. Gaming’s a big part of it, of course, but the overall industry has successfully conquered an absurdly large part of many folks daily lives. I asked some colleagues how much “entertainment” they watch. None counted sports viewing in their answers.

“swore it wasn’t true…”
November 15, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Idiotically taxed us and predictably slowed down the economy, swore he wasn’t true as the evidence piled up, and now flip flops like he’s doing us a favor?

Yes. Probably something like “Reapply in person. The line forms at the bottom of the big stairway and hours are 9-5 with a 1 hr lunch break. The reapplication window will be open for 1 week.”

Propaganda or just a performance intended to distract from the Epstein crisis in the WH? Clearly the latter. Even their base won’t buy this garbage. Chicago is too big, visible, united and strong to be credibly framed as this small man’s punching bag.

Don’t know if the follow up was “Sir, when did you last but groceries?” But, if not, it should have been - and should be a standard question from journalists, repeated until answered.

Not a team player = person of integrity and conscience, which is the only collective force that can (and will) drive Trump and his kleptocracy out of office and win back our democracy.

You shouldn’t. The conditions then created a powerful incubator for it. Exponential growth in ASD dx post 1994 DSM IV + near zero body of ASD focused science research pre 2006 birthed a lot of dangerous and persistent notions. And the internet outpaced institutions ability to control the narrative.

Concur. “Public” anything and everything.
November 12, 2025 at 1:05 PM
Sowing turmoil is not the goal. Vought, his cabal and masters want control of *all* publicly directed tools and resources across *all* domains. They may leave hollow shells, but total transfer of public wealth into private hands is the aim. Try naming something “public” that’s not under assault.

Bingo. It’s a race among the oligarchy to see which one of their many highly leveraged schemes can hoover up all the consumer savings and resources first.

“Access to!”

There is *no* inside baseball soap that’ll wash this stain off @durbin.senate.gov Trump’s “wins” all come with a body count. This one will be large.

Also, if retrofit semis and air cargo are used as transport, people will be largely invisible to satellite or human observation as they’re moved box to box, tube to tube.

I’m pretty sure it’s no longer a goal.

These are in no way, shape, or form suitable spaces for large groups of people.

Great observation. Trash compactor, vending machine, whatever. I overhear colleagues passionately argue which pinball machine is making them “smarter.” Egad.

“Owe my soul to the Company store” economy. No thanks.

Yes, but nothing like West Michigan. Around 1/2 annual snowfall but definitely strong lake effect along the shoreline.

Nothing like a white out on the Indiana Toll Road. Great times.
