That’s horribly wrong. For example, people start going to the gym because they feel motivated to it. Many stop because the motivation goes away. When they use discipline as fuel instead, they keep going. In this example (and many I could throw out there) quitting is would be a terrible decision.

Motivation is an emotion that will fade. When it does, discipline will carry you.
