My Reddit account was just permanently banned for threatening violence. All my comment said was: "Of course women aren't dating conservatives. Why would they date someone who doesn't even see them as a real human being?"

I personally know a former service member who disobeyed illegal orders. You do not have to comply if you are being told to do something evil.

I'm writing again after months. I haven't really written anything since a slovenly orange tumor won his election, due to feeling like my life is spiraling out of control.
But writing again feels like a weight's been lifted. I needed this outlet, and didn't realize how much not having it affected me

Just bought 350 dollars worth of camping gear. I'll be testing it out on my first big hiking trip of the year (my first 100+ miles trip as well!).

Such an important point. The idea that SW is only ever a last resort completely ignores how many people choose this work because they enjoy it, are good at it, or prefer it over traditional jobs. Agency matters, and so does respecting all experiences in the industry.
