Cat, water and Strictly here. Been a long day hiding from the rain & raising money for 17yo's trip nxt yr. Also finally made it to The Farm yesterday (where college furniture goes to die) and found a microfiche reader & a minute book from 1931-1958 for an alumni society which is a definite win

Update - have managed to wrap 5 presents. Still can't remember which safe place I put the cool bits bought in the January sales

Finished the tea, so here is a photo of my archive move instead. Last couple of weeks have been moving and unpacking, plus new volunteers, plus eldest getting a car, plus birthday week. Been busy

Retreated to my bedroom after feeding the teenage girls (youngest's birthday party is a murder mystery game). Meant to be doing online chaperone training but alas the internet signal is not good enough so far from the router.... so tea and an agatha christie book it is!

I'm loitering early as 14yo cooked tapas for tea. It took her an hour and 45 and she announced it 'tasted like disappointment' and has now retreated into her phone). It was delicious btw, just too much flavour due to fried onions.. #ConfinedCocktails

14yo made me a pink gin spritz tonight to drink in front of Chicago (just announced as this year's school musical... not sure how appropriate it is for 11-16y to perform but maybe a schools version?!). She has a (very) lite version of the cocktail

Currently sat under a cat so only have a cup of water. Spent today giving eldest driving practice in Bury St Edmunds which did mean a nice trip to the market and fabric shop. No photos of it so here are flowers from the allotment after she was dropped at work...

Saw this in the tea break room at work (shared with cleaners and catering). It was the only notice on the board. Suggestions for less vomit inducing posters welcome....

Eldest had a girlguiduing awards ceremony in Newmarket this afternoon (her young leader award) and they gave all the guests a badge too! Celebrating with a malibu and coke and pizza in oven

Had a lovely day out out. 14yo desperate to go swimming so we got up at 6.30am to drive to the beach....where she got stung by a jellyfish in the first 15 mins. She seems fine but came home via Norfolk lavendar and castle rising. 17yo super happy to get driving practice in

Late to the party as was unconfined earlier (indoor bbq at a friends' house due to weather) and drinkless as cats jumped on me as soon as I came in and 1 child is still at bbq and other at work (need tk collect both soon). Busy week but fine - hugs to others not having such a good time

Lack of #confinedcocktails here as sat under a cat. This weekend I have been mostly driving around with L plates and gardening/allotmenting.

Classic g&t made for me by my 14yo. Busy day with driving lesson for my eldest at 8am where we learnt an emergency stop, quick hour planting potatoes and carrots, and then alumni event at work.
