Today in my coastal biology class, we listened to this beautiful climate change song calling to protect our oceans from the Greenpeace Artic stage. Seeing the students mesmerized and moved by this performance gives me hope for a healthier planet!

Just pushed a Christmas update to {ggblanket}. I decided to support colour blending. It uses {ggblend} under the hood (thanks @mjskay.com), which uses graphics features developed by Paul Murrell. Give {ggblanket} and {ggblend} a star, if you find them useful. Oh, and have a merry Christmas #rstats

I’m looking for some friendly advice from my fellow academics… I wonder if you have any good tips for keeping on top of multiple projects/tasks at the same time?

This week I had the absolute pleasure of co-leading a session at the ORS Systems Thinking event exploring complexity. We used rich pictures as a tool to discuss the fundamentals of systems approaches.

What if you think of worldviews not as either or, but as multi-potentials, co-existing? What if you think of each of us, each moment, pulling weeds, fertilizing with every choice we make, a vast garden of worldviews some of which we nurture, some we disrupt, or refuse to comply with.

Today is World Fisheries Day!

It's a day to reflect and learn about fishing, which is important for food security and livelihoods around the world, but can have a significant conservation impact.

A brief disorganized thread, after which I'm happy to answer any questions.
