My sis lives in WA in a converted Victorian that has now been purchased as a fancy future B&B. I hope she is now able to find something else. I understand change, but tenanted apartments to other business venture is a housing loss not gain. Her rent will be more, not less. She is losing in this.

This is just one more symptom of non-prosperity. This is what happens when one small group of wannabe rulers ruins it for everyone else. If this country was prospering, we would have more jobs open than employees to fill them. Look at the amount of work to be done & then look at the lack of mgmt.

I thought the series dealt with issues of victims. All kinds of victims. Victims of uncurable leprosy, rape, murder, magic, unfair gods, vicious criminals, what have you. I think in order to deal with any aspect of life, you have to first be aware of it & maybe even understand it enough to face it.

Some of us are descended from carnivorous primates. We can't get enough protein from vegetable sources. The whole planet is based on predation & it is also a natural part of this world. Humans are just in the upper tiers of carnivores & can choose to manage their food stocks so we never run out.

I don't think we have one here. Strangely enough, back in the 90s Wendy's was the place here for chili. I am sure things there have changed with mandated minimum wages. I now just make my own or buy Dennison's Turkey Chili which isn't bad for canned or Stagg's for fancy. Lots of cheese & onions.

We had a couple of small coves on the big lake like that. We prefer the one without cabins. The wildlife is fantastic. Fishing is okay. If you are fully equipped to camp, the remote areas are far better. If people start trashing, they will close access. Already did to the south jetty on the coast.

Wasn't just gas/oil here. The USA lost all of its major manufacturing, including military supply because of this same principle applied to areas they wish to control. To cow the US people, you have to address the issue of their guns & weapons & the self-sufficiency we enjoyed here. Now gone away.

It's good to see one of these again. Our populations here have been reduced & I haven't heard why. I know they talk about the bees, but I really miss the ladybugs for smaller bug controls. When they were everywhere, we had less gnat sized pests. We use to have bunches around the small lake areas.

Sounds more like stock & market manipulations to me. Some invested in foreign resources because they were cheap, then mandated the use of said foreign resources & drives up the price of the stocks. Especially if it goes up from low initial startup costs. We saw this with investments to China here.

Sounds like our National Forests here that no longer have trees. They have not cleaned up after the massive wildfires here, nor are they re-planting, which would help us & the air quality. We can do better than this, folks. Let's get some better personnel. Cleanup & re-planting signifies jobs.
