If I were a trustee I would have gotten additional advice. Also, I would be looking to go the way of scouts and remove the girl requirement. Just make it clear in the charter that female language would be used to refer to members. I can't imagine any masculine boy (inc. trans masc) wanting to join.

My daughter’s are a ranger and guide respectively. Whilst they are both cis I’m deeply disappointed with this decision because, in addition to the bigotry and segregation, it will affect my daughters’ experiences in girl guiding too. The charter could very easily be amended.

Adding to good arguments about why this is bad. Assume 1 car / train of 8. That car is either going to be over crowded or relatively empty compared to the rest of the train. If overcrowded some women will be forced to mix - no benefit to them. If empty, will require more trains for crowding at peak.

If you are not a scientist, the very least you could do is go read Bad Science by Ben Goldacre before wading in. I expect this study uses a number of the tricks he explains simply.

I would ask her to respond to the deluge of peer reviewed critiques of her work being bad science. I would also ask her how many child suicides have there been since her report was published. If she says she doesn't know, ask her why she doesn't believe on following up on the results of her work.

But she isn't going to. She is going to raid the fuck out of the middle class - those with few or extremely illiquid assets. This is going to push them further to Reform. She should take a leaf out of @zackpolanski.bsky.social's book and tax the real rich.
