I didn't have the experiences of growing up as a girl but from the women in my life that I've talked to, the one common experience that they seem to share is the getting asked to smile thing. I'm guessing this is a somewhat accurate representation of that feeling.

It sucks how screaming it from the rooftops for so long tires you out so much, you don't have the energy to get any satisfaction from being correct.

I feel that a lot of services which include, art, Healthcare, transportation, government, etc. Would work so much better without having a profit motive. Some of them are serviceable now but could be doing so much more if they didn't have to worry about a bottom line.

To get enough points for the next reward tier, which let's you play the game less and still get numbers up. Is it just me or does it feel that way to other people?

I've already seen my peers in the last around 5 years not want to go into research because of the lack of funding even back then. Gutting the scientists that do it for the passion is definitely going to lead to more science distrust and disinformation.

Unfortunately, I think we might be giving them too much empathy. Might have to lower that even more. After all it is a sin.

If covid was bad with our "good" system, I'm worried for what a future outbreak of even a standard flu could look like.

It felt like in 2022 that we were in the worst times, and for some it was, but I don't think anyone could foresee what it would turn into.

It's so annoying how the right's lies are like dandelion seeds in the wind but one tiny mistake from the left and it is seen as a plague upon the earth. "Perfect for thee but not for me" is the right's motto.
