They are buried in Edmonton Jewish cemetery and I really want to go and see them one day. Just to be present for them, although I never met zayde and only met bubbe when I was 2 and she was 94. How on earth she had such a long life after all that they went through I don't know.

Bubbe ran a market stall in Stoke Newington selling towels, and bed linen. Her son Alf Stoller then had a shop selling similar items on Stoke Newington high street. She raised 12 children in a tiny terraced house and kept kosher. Separate cutlery, and dishes. So determined to keep orthodox.

My bubbe and zayde were my great grandparents, from Odessa. Lived in Martaban Road in Stoke Newington. Their daughter, my grandmother was called Dinah Stoller. Incredibly, they travelled from Odessa to Riga to catch a boat to the UK in 1901. And that would be a journey and a half today.
