That’s fair. ETTD didn’t originate this mess, but it sure didn’t help reverse course. I think we’re watching long-term neglect meet short-term volatility—and the system just doesn’t have the buffer it once did.

That’s a legit concern, no argument there. But we don’t fix impersonation by handing the keys to the castle back to the same gatekeepers. Verification should confirm identity, not crown credibility. We need a system that proves who someone is, not how much they matter.

Not quite—there are more events, and we’re also finally seeing better reporting. But the real issue is staffing shortfalls and system strain that’s been building for years. It’s less “media hype” and more “chickens coming home to roost".
