the canon is: its different from piece to piece! sometimes they're so put together you wouldnt even think the costume comes off, they're like a toy whose clothes are sewn on. sometimes something terrible has happened and theres a greasy little rat man.

& its very tied to how emotionally raw i may be when drawing a bebi piece. i try to use the removal of costume pieces sparingly and to create strong moods for those pieces. the more "ugly" details i let show through, the more vulnerable they are, the deeper the emotions sown into the piece are

bebi lore moment: i wasnt sure if i wanted to even reveal what bebi may look like without their costume, but i think it would create too many missed opportunities for me to really express myself with them. their costume is their hermit crab shell, it protects them from the world...
