I am lucky to live where I can learn miniatures skills from artisans. The flower trug (basket) took me 7 hours, but I learned several different methods of weaving. The gladiolus flowers involved tinting, shaping, and gluing on each individual petal with tweezers, and took about 12 hours.

My entirely hand-pieced Dear Jane quilt... Two more rows of squares, and then the border of triangles. Should be ready for the 2027 quilt show.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”
