Yes this is blow but we’ve got to stop with the self pity. Our backups would get into most Premier League sides. They will step up. We have to change this mindset, this is an opportunity for Hincape or Mosquera to push for regular starts.

I can’t fathom this. For years we’ve been told that a touch on the ball doesn’t negate a foul. Now that seems to be out the window, pundits & refs alike seem to be fine with tripping a player as long as you get a tiny touch on the ball. It’s maddeningly stupid

#arsecastextra @arseblog.com Goodly Morning gents. Yet again another penalty decision turned down under the basis of a slight touch of the ball in spite of being told for years that a touch doesn’t negate a foul. He didn’t “win the ball” & Saka would’ve maintained possession if not for the foul.

Yeah exactly, I saw MOTD and thought it was obvious Joe Hart was representing the goal keeper’s interests. He’s also talking nonsense. It doesn’t matter if your foot is planted or moving towards the opponent, if you trip up an opponent with your leg it’s a foul!

I do find it strange that the Major Arsenal channels are so on the fence about that Penalty, yet the fanbase seems so clear. I wonder if it’s being overthought a bit. Bottom line is Pope takes Gyokores out with his knee. The touch is irrelevant. He got a touch BECAUSE he fouled Gyokores

As desperate for silverware as we all are, the idea that if things don’t go our way we’d throw it all away and start again is mad. We know from personal experience that when a manager is making a rival a genuine force, we love nothing more than to see them get the boot. Conversely when a useless clown is causing carnage somewhere like Spurs, the last thing we want to do is see them go.
