Capitalism surely looks different if you look at it through the eyes of Epstein and his friends. So we were all the time governed by a cabal of pedofilia facilitating oligarchs?

Using studies as anti-intelligence... you don't have to think yourself if someone already studied it.

Aka you don't need AI to lose critical thinking.

So this what it comes to: the oligarchic AI does what it is paid to do. Whatever it is paid to do. All the safeguards against "hallucinations" erased if you pay. As Ezra Klein said : the price of bullshit is zero. But not only bullshit. Also every criminal picture, lie, misinformation, manipulation.

Checks and balances are eroded, as well by the politician not asking for balanced studies before deciding on a policy as by the scientific who promotes his expertise/hobby horse above a broad consultation. Inclusive institutions that used to prepare policy are marginalised.

A good start, but the problem is governance & institutions.

Any approach pitching/matching the individual politician wth the researcher in an ecosystem where noise is might will lead to the one laptop per child and hydrogen. There will always be a researcher going for fame an recognition.
