How do you save important worldbuilding information for your parties to take a gander at when they're unsure of world information that should be readily available to them?

I'm pretty sure that there are many of you out there that are getting ready for spooky season adventures, right?
Why not grab some older edition's monsters and bring them into your current games! If your players are hanging out in Leilon, add in that Manyclaws Alley is still rife with heucuvas!

When you're setting up an encounter as a DM/GM/Facilitator, what order do you work on it in?
We're partial over here to gimmick>map>enemies, but how do y'all go about it?

What's your preferred method(s) to prepare for a session? We're relatively partial to index cards with important notes like HP and enemy tactics.
You could put different things on the cards, but usually a one or two sentence spiel is enough to build a minion in an encounter around for us!
