This is the type of noodle cutter I use to make my noodles. Avoid the ones with plastic handles. They are not sturdy at all.

Slow-Cooker Chicken & Noodles 🐔

I made these the other night.

Recipe: Chicken and Noodles Ingredients Soup Base 2-3 Boneless Chicken Breasts, with with skin removed 3 tbsp Knorr Chicken Bouillon Powder 8 cups hot water 1 Stick Butter 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning Egg Noodles 5 cups all-purpose flour 4 eggs, beaten 2 tbsp shortening or butter 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk 1/4 tsp salt Recipe: Chicken and Noodles Instructions Chicken Noodle Soup 1. In a 5-quart slow cooker, add chicken breasts, bullion powder, water, seasoning, and butter. 2. Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 5 hours. 3. Remove and shred chicken. Re-add to broth. 4. Add egg noodles and cook for another 1-2 hours on LOW until noodles are tender and broth has thickened. Egg Noodles 1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour and salt. Cut in butter and combine with dry ingredients. Add beaten egg and milk and knead mixture until smooth. Best if made in a stand mixer with a dough hook. 2. Let the dough rest for 20 to 30 minutes, covered. 3. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut the dough into desired length and width with a small pizza cutter. If you have a noodle press, cutter, or hand cranked noodle maker, feel free to use this instead. 4. Place cut noodles in large bowl with one cup of flour. Toss noodles to coat in flour. The flour on the noodles will help thicken the broth. Recipe: Chicken and Noodles Tip: If you don't have time to make homemade egg noodles, Reames frozen egg noodles are a great substitute. You'll usually need two large packages for this recipe. Since frozen noodles don't thicken the broth the same way, a sprinkle or two of Wondra flour will help you get that perfect, rich consistency. You can also use chicken broth, in lieu of bouillon powder. Chicken bouillon powder is cheaper than chicken broth, and it is shelf stable. The butter in the recipe is optional, but it adds a little bit of fat that has often missing when using plain chicken breast. If you can make your own broth by cooking down a whole chicken, go for it. A picture of chicken and noodles in a large, light green bowl with soup spoon.
