GenXer trying hard not to be one of THOSE white women. Widow. BI Engineer. Medieval & Renaissance nerd.
My husband had a brain tumor and Mayo Clinic said he was disabled but SSA docs who had never seen him said he wasn’t. After appeals we finally got benefits a year before he died in 2010. Thank you for helping people with this horrible process.

As a parent of 2 kids in college who thrive with a few simple accommodations, thank you.

Don’t forget it reduces your workforce without you having to announce layoffs. Driving people to quit is definitely part of the strategy.

As a parent I am simultaneously glad I pushed for my daughter to get diagnosed her senior year of high school and sad that I didn’t push for it before school had become so very hard. I’m sorry you weren’t able to get an earlier diagnosis.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a Gail in possession of a social media account must be in want of a good shenanigan.

It’s a known developmental thing at 5ish apparently. My son used to weep about us being in the cemetery and he wouldn’t be able to find us. (Also definitely the Cure)
