Almost half of all the suitable roofs in Australia have solar installed so they can provide free electricity midday to all Australians.
The free electricity scheme is probably meant to help subsidize the coal power plants though sadly. Energy transitions are difficult.

When we did our documentary in 2012, they told us how — by changing a supplier’s container of pretzels from cylindrical to square — they could ship a ridiculous number of additional units from simply getting rid of the tiny spaces in between.
