Reminds me when Simu Liu came out with a memoir.

Those who believe in internationalism and anti-racism, made (or tried to make) 'Never Again' a phrase that connects and draws parallels to global oppression. This is why Jewish youth connect with the plight of Palestinians and understand the continued role of antiblackness in America.

"Never Again" should truly mean "For Anyone", but in typical white supremacist nature, they want the phrase to be exclusionary. They want it to mean/be only for those who assimilated into whiteness. The trouble is that's not how those educated about the Holocaust took it.

Regarding antiblackness and antisemitism, America's investment in the puppet state is the major reason, as Norm Finklestein states, antisemitism is not institutional in the same way antiblackness continues to be centuries after chattel slavery. It's instead being weaponized against anti-zionists.

Africans don't claim helplessness when talking about antiblackness. They instead uplift survivors without undermining the severity of the system that continues to disenfranchise them. Sometimes that plays into exceptionalism, but I think that gets a decent enough pushback that it's not the default.

She uses the term "helpless" as if to describe a defining characteristic in African (Americans) and Jewish folk. It reveals an underlying contempt for victims of white supremacy who don't/won't fit the nationalism at the root of zionism, or persist despite whiteness' best efforts to destroy them.

It's also not a mistake that she conflated an Arab/Qatari news outlet, Al Jeezera, with a Neo-Nazi and White Supremacist talking head currently making the rounds on right-wing 'indie' media. You're not slick, ma'am. bsky.app/profile/cait...
Zionists Are Freaking Out About Losing Control Of The Narrative

Genuine justice would require the end of the political system that allows politics to use the sexual abuse of children and women as theater and manipulation at all.
