I have one more thing I wish to bring up and it might be a little bit cursed but I was wondering if a default layout like this could be considered perhaps? The current Godot layout is iconic however this might make it more familiar to ue5 & blender users and would expose file thumbnails to new users

I didnt include it intially since I thought it was a bit cursed at first for some reason but yeah stripes might actually be a cool implementation and might even be more legible, sounds good!

I downloaded the Dev 6 build to have a further look and I found that a similar dark background could be used on the right side in the inspector as well. Also the buttons for the run project and whatnot were a bit too small in my experience, likely since they are not as tall as the viewport buttons.

The shadows is definitely an amazing addition however I think having the bg be darker would still greatly help in its readability, especially when not scrolled. Also I got some examples from UE5 and blender that illustrate darker bgs in action or apply checkers or both.

Other than that Im very excited to have your theme as the default in Godot as an avid user of it and im loving the new changes that make UI elements use space more efficiently and more compact. >:)
