All in. It was probably my favourite character I have played in DnD and certainly the best one from a personal arc storywise. My DM was great in allowing me to share my ideas for the character/mechanics and working with me to make it happen.

I spoke to the DM at length how we pictured the spear to work. The key for me was I pushed for it to be permanent. No outs, No bring back from the dead after. I thought it was a great hook to put a time limit on the character and the idea of being progressively more glass cannon.

Story abridged:
Finds the spear becomes soulbound, Finds out its terminal. Decides to leave the monastary in order to try and rid as much evil before his death.
Spear is sentient, is generally "good" but it does advocate for violence alot (Think nightblood from Brandon Sandersons books)
