When you're so dedicated to your proofread of a book about the Camino that you walk part of the Camino halfway through the edit. This might be my most amazing #Stetwalk so far. #AmEditing
I stand in front of the map at the Málaga start point of the Camino de Santiago. The route goes right across Spain. There are many paths but they all meet in Santiago. They're marked with cockle shells and the Camino symbol. Stunning churches all the way. It's a pilgrimage, though many people do it. Photo: people rest on the steps of a medieval Spanish church.

I was out on the balcony, reading The Naturalist Society, and a starling (Sturnus unicolor) landed next to me and went on to mimic every single bird within hearing range, even the chickens next door. I think it was teasing my cats. This is the first time I've noticed it. 1/

Oversight is important, and Alabaster is a very diligent and attentive supervisor. At times, he can be oppressive, but only because the weight of his authority can be a bit of a pain in the neck and tends to increase overheads.
