Small business owner, fan of Arsenal, Elvis Costello, and travel.
in addition, Arsenal apparently fired an employee for speaking out on Gaza. That, plus its cavalier attitude to Partey, does not reflect well on Club leadership.

Unfortunately, the Palestinians do not have many friends among the ruling classes of Western countries. So Labour is not alone there. One day, everybody will say they were against the slaughter in Gaza, but not until the next generation of leaders emerges.

Torres is a cheerleader for the slaughter in Gaza in a way that history will not look on kindly. He does not belong in the Democratic Party.

Gillibrand is a political weather gauge. Whatever the outrage, rely on her to echo it. She’s exhibit A in any discussion on how the political class is increasingly populated with lightweights.
June 27, 2025 at 4:59 AM
Exactly. The wish washy DNC positions like blocking a Palestinian speaker at the convention cost us the last election. Let’s embrace progressive positions proudly.

So maybe there’s less Islamophobia in NYC than the pundits thought?
June 25, 2025 at 1:40 AM
I don’t understand the IDF shooting into crowds thing. What is their logic?

But at what cost? International law and order is in tatters. Could you blame China for using this lawless period to claim Taiwan is threatening them and “preemptively” taking the island as they have long wanted to do.
June 24, 2025 at 1:12 AM
The international rule of war is now dead. China can "pre-emptively" take Taiwan. On what moral or legal grounds can the US object?
June 23, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Agreed, the Ayatollah swallowed last year's attacks by Israel as well. It's insane for the US to press for regime change. They did that with Arafat and got Hamas.
June 23, 2025 at 5:19 PM
The Israeli lobby has done a brilliant job of making sure the US media name every hostage and avoid names of the families slaughtered in Gaza. It’s working.
June 17, 2025 at 5:07 PM
I heard an Israeli on BBC lamenting this impact of the sirens on his grandchildren. What about the live bombs heard every day by the children of Gaza. No empathy whatsoever for non Israelis.

The deficit would be easy to cut if partisanship were taken out of the process. Target tax loopholes for the rich and defense spending on their side, and the web of tax credits and fringe welfare spending projects on our side.
June 4, 2025 at 2:14 PM
One person’s loophole is another person’s tax fairness.
June 4, 2025 at 2:11 PM
The deficit is $2 trillion. It needs to get back to break even. If not Medicaid then what?
June 3, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Most frustrating is that, misguided and wrong as this attack was, the motivation was “anti-genocide” or “anti-war,” not “anti-semitic.”
June 3, 2025 at 11:10 PM
If it’s not an occupation then Palestinians should have the rights of all other Israelis. So which is it - an occupation or Apartheid?
June 2, 2025 at 1:32 PM
Carl, anything to change the subject away from crypto grift.
June 1, 2025 at 11:48 PM
Don't take the bait! Today's tariff news is all about changing the subject from the 220 mainly foreigners who bought $TRUMP for direct access to the President last night in his latest crypto grift project.
May 23, 2025 at 2:19 PM
This is a temper tantrum like the China tariff escalation. He’ll back down, just like he did on China tariffs.
May 22, 2025 at 7:15 PM
Stop. You approved the CR that provided the time to create this latest monstrosity. You had your moment and you failed. Please step down!
May 22, 2025 at 6:58 PM
There is no “war” going on here. That requires two sides. Gaza is a massacre. And starving a nation through a blockade is a little different to withholding humanitarian aid.
May 20, 2025 at 2:31 AM
The fact that not one country has been willing to send in troops to help defend Gaza from this vicious Israeli onslaught is disheartening.
