This is pretty poor design on the old Dualshock3 controller. This "connector" is pushed down onto the pins by the case and there's constantly gunk getting in there and ruining the connection. Just had my circle button stop working completely and of course, cleaning the connector fixed the problem.

Damn it MSI! Just use a battery holder and a CR2032 instead, there's tons of space on the laptop motherboard! 🤪
