Every late fall around this time of year, the crows come to roost in the trees on our property. I call them messengers. They have a lot to tell me as they fly in when the sun sets and begins its journey to sleep and the moon makes her appearance to watch over the night.

I’ve made a few bronze pieces. Fall is the golden months of the year much like the golden hour of the day where the sun is at just the right angle to bring out the golden hues of the #prairie.

A reworked piece made more adaptable with an adjustable bead chain. Bison is textured with goldenrod flowers that stands tall atop white buffalo stone - the prairie in a shadow box.

I just realized that this red creek jasper stone looks similar to last night’s aurora borealis. With the switchgrass underneath with the dark patina, it’s like being out on the night prairie again watching these northern lights dance.

They’re having quite a party up north.

These earrings are a memory keepsake—a reminder of gratitude, friendship, and growth. It features a blue wild indigo leaf that I pinched from a plant that a dear friend gifted to me as a transplant from her garden. This leaf symbolizes that the transplant took root and began its journey of growth.

I think my flowers are confused, yesterday I had another round of coneflowers bloom. #prairie #nature

She dresses herself in pink during spring and summer. In late fall, she becomes attached to you. Who is she?

Pink beaded earrings textured with our mystery prairie dweller. These are now available for purchase on my website.

My maple leaf beaded earrings are available now on my website. These are gorgeous and are paired with vibrant autumnal colored beads of crimson, amber, and gold.

As the maple’s leaves turn and fall from the branches, the tree transitions to a resting state by…

Future offerings will be on my website in the next couple weeks. I still have to price, take photos, and write their stories.

These beaded beauties are whispers of earth. The colors reflect the earth in all her beauty

Transition: the process or a period of changing from one state to another as in our #prairie grasses in the month of October. Our #grasslands are changing from green to hues of brown, reds, oranges, and yellows as it transitions from growth to rest.

If you plant it, they will come.

I thought I was growing parsley, but on closer inspection, I have to say I’m growing black swallowtail #caterpillars that will magically transform to #butterflies.

A new pair of earrings featuring redbud leaves and rhyolite stone beads to usher in the autumn breezes and to say goodbye to the warmth of summer.

The #moon holds ancient stories as a witness of lives lived on the prairie. Our moon holds life in balance teaching us that balance is the way to harmony.

One of my largest moon necklaces created yet. “Burning Cedar”, a cleansing ceremony of my people. Crescent moon is textured with cedar (𐓸𐓪͘𐓲𐓟), and the bright orange carnelian gemstone represents the sacred fire (𐓬𐓟𐓲𐓟). 🔥

Bluet flowers hang from mini squash blossoms that hold aquamarine gemstone beads. A little blooming #prairie for the ears.

We’ve had a nice rain today and cooler temperatures. The thirsty plants are drinking it in before they enter into their winter’s sleep. I’ve created these Southwest-style stud earrings to celebrate our life-giving rains. They are textured with sacred #prairie sage.

I have hiked a lot the past 10 years & I can remember the overwhelming awe I felt when we happened upon a fern covered forest floor.

Fine silver fern earrings show both the topside & the underside of a spore-ridden fern frond. The green tourmaline faceted gemstones are a reminder of quiet growth.

I walked the Konza #Prairie Nature Trail today and made a new friend.

Hmmmmm. I do think I like the purple and silver combination of these sage earrings. I’m a little biased as our football team’s, Kansas State Wildcats, colors are purple and gray. The purple gemstone is charoite.

I just added these garnet stud earrings shaped like a daisy to my website. Flowers are like mood boosters in plant form. Who can frown at a flower?

I have a tray full of different styles of earrings that I created, but didn't have the motivation to list for sale at the time. Here are two pairs of beaded earrings. The black beaded pair is textured with peppergrass, and the multi-colored earth tone pair is textured with sacred cedar.

It’s that time of year on the prairie where the winds pick up and the tall grasses begin to roll like the waves of the sea. In the wide open spaces, it is quite breathtaking to see and even more so to hear the grass sing with a rustled voice.

Wearing these, you can almost hear the grass sing.
