Totally agree. There's little more you get with a PS5. PS4 has a heck of a library especially if your access point.

The character is just a mess. They really need to try to elevate other female characters because Wonder Woman is just a mess. The creation is always going to undermine her, the greek mythology thing doesn't work to bolster but confuse, the purity standard makes it hard for her to be compelling.

Then clearly this book is rushed by editorial (I don't know that, but I can feel it) to make way for the next team to come in - and see if they can sell the book.

WW has had top tier talent for years fall into one or several of these traps. Only a few ever really made her work for larger audiences

That's the problem. That's the problem with WW right there. How is anyone supposed to read that? How is that supposed to be inspiring? How is that one of the 'Trinity'? What does it all mean? What's the moral?

The fight (spoilers, unless you've seen like 5 movies or read 10 big comic arcs... ever) ends with WW sparing Circe's life, and Circe relents because she had her kid watch, but was confused when her kid was sad that she almost died?

WW makes a speech about how Circe won't steal her compassion...

90% of all this should be cut. It doesn't matter to the story. Hell, 85% of it hardly matters to even Wonder Woman continuity much less DC's.

Then to top it off we get the big fight 1:1 with WW and Circe.

They make a play on 'mano an mano' that made my eyes roll.

Part of this is because atop the DC continuity we're also dealing with a new level of the New Gods interacting with the Greek gods, that should be a big deal, it's an afterthought. But contending with the status of multiple gods and Greek figures. Keeps cropping up, but only as a kind of scorecard.

This arc has everything. It should be one of the go to DC big brawls. This is a climax for decades of Wonder Woman continuity, several characters have status quo shifts, there's a big JLA level brawl with a twist, ect. This should be WW's Hush or Our Worlds at War. But it just isn't.

and Silver Swan. Frankly, the pacing is shit. So much is happening but we're also taking a few pages to deal with Superman's emotions about all of this and two pages on Batgirl being shy.

Jimenez is doing the writing/art thing. But falling into the trap most double hitters face, stuffing the pages
