As you’ve written, stories need to end. Makes me appreciate mil sci-fi authors like Glynn Stewart more, not just because they aren’t writing about how the evils of the progressive income tax between fleet deployments, but because they let their stories rest (Peacekeepers of Sol my beloved).

In the same way I feel like the Honor Harrington series should’ve ended with Ashes of Victory with Theisman shooting Saint-Just, Old Man’s War really did feel like it should’ve ended after Perry went back home, Everything after seemed like less then a sum of their parts.
