The point is this. I’m open to the possibility that Platner didn’t knowingly get a Nazi tattoo. But, as soon as he knew the association, he should’ve gotten it covered up immediately. There is no non-disqualifying reason for waiting until running for US Senate before removing it. IMO

Look, I get that the symbol predates Nazism. But, it has been so co-opted by Nazism, there is no good reason to leave it hanging in 2025.

We immediately took it down and replaced it. And, we notified everyone that has ever stayed at our place.

Then, one day, my teenage son asks us why we have a photograph of a swastika on our wall.

Turns out it’s a photo from a local photographer. And, when you look at it from across the room, the image pops. We didn’t even see it for several years.

And, I get that the symbol predates Nazism.
