I know the feeling! It has been quite positive overall. I have a spin-off piece on emigrants recruited for the Belgian army in exile which will hopefully be coming out soon!

Any undergraduate reading list on Late Antiquity (say) that doesn't include chunks of Gibbon, Pirenne etc isn't teaching a student how the field became the way it is either.
