The NYPD can clear the streets any time they want. Like closing 6th Avenue for over an hour during morning rush hour so *someone* can drive his motorcade the wrong way to Fox & Friends.

IMHO “…with alleged Epstein survivors…” is a wild way to refer to victims of abuse. I’m no expert and would love for one to weigh in here.

I really hope it’s rattling my “Hedge Fund Landlords” because a Cuomo appointed “independent” monitor sure as hell did not. 🙄

This confirms my hunch that none of these people understand how NYC housing actually works.
Also, Cuomo let my landlord get away with being racist and awful when was well aware they were breaking the law. Cuomo is why we don’t have more stabilized apartments. www.nydailynews.com/2015/03/17/c...

Cops literally sleeping on the job or so engrossed in their phones probably doesn’t help recruitment or public perception. Yes, I know it’s not ALL cops but it’s pervasive enough that anyone paying attention can spot it regularly.

The process for taking the AirTrain to/from Newark is such a cluster F…no wonder people end up driving.
A shuttle to a train to a ticket booth that barely works, for a gate that doesn’t take OMNY to then buy a ticket on my NJT app. 🙄

Currently watching the @fdny.bsky.social debate how to deal with this chronic illegal parker 😤 I encouraged them to bust the windows. Clearly a $165 fine isn’t motivating enough for some people.

While they were discussing whose car to take and who would hold the parking spot for their return, I hopped on a citibike and was back with this “urgent” work item.
(It’s N/A and actually was for work)

They have continued to do a phenomenal job with Domino Park ❤️

For example, the 2 precincts in my Community Board issued a combined 12 summonses for this YTD though 2/28. I can take a 10 minute walk and find 5 without even trying.

Looks like only 2 or so and they are tourist trips. Are you seeing something different? NYPD helis usually show up on Flight Aware but not always.

So thoughtful of NYPD School Safety to block the bus stop (eating pizza mind you) making it more difficult for passengers to get on/off the bus. 🙄 @nypd.bsky.social

Just a couple of low-income New Yorkers “forced” to ride the shithole🙄

Been back in LA for a few days now and I am pleasantly surprised with the number of protected bike lanes but disappointed in the abundance of disappearing sidewalks.
Clearly people walk here.

Sigh. 😔

Now seems as good a time as any to bring up that the auto industry is why car crashes are commonly referred to as “accidents” even though the cause is almost always human carelessness/error.
Not a single media outlet has called this a “Plane Accident”. Words Matter.

Wow. The town of Brunswick Maine, where I’d guess at least 90% of residents own cars, understands the value of clearing sidewalks and makes it a priority.
Everyone benefits from safe sidewalks. When will NYC understand this?

I kept one of the rejection letters because I thought it was comical.

This area used to be so gridlocked that food vendors would line up to sell to people stuck in vehicles as they inched forward.

In 1953, The City of New York gave Columbia University the gift of closing 116th St to vehicular traffic. Public access was a condition of this gift but CU is not upholding their end of the bargain. Columbia lives in OUR neighborhood. Not vice versa.
