Well, Intel hasn’t been outstanding for quite a while. Comparisons are not. I’m not really disagreeing with you at all, just observing that this isn’t “great” and probably not based on sound policy, but not much is sound policy any more.

I am seeing a lot of resumes from younger post-college and 3-5 years experience looking for work.
