Noticeable McDonald hasn’t been in the last couple match day squads. Gone from one of our best central defenders (at least in my mind) to being nowhere. Something has to change and quick. This is relegation form. We’re only surviving because of the unreal start.

I was quietly confident we would turn up today and it started so well. But unfortunately reverted to type. Two mid fielders finished in central defence with McDonald on the bench. Jimmy obviously doesn’t rate him. Not looking good for the lad.

Wonder if a couple of new faces and a little shakeup can be the catalyst we need to get going again?

I was wondering what McDonald had to do to get a game but he was very poor today, and Ruby is always a bomb scare waiting to happen. Even when we were winning, we weren’t keeping clean sheets. Central defence needs gutting.

As someone who grew up in Sandhaven then Pitullie, this is the first time I can remember seeing either popping up in a social media post on any platform. Just brightened a dreich day in Galway.

Interesting. In both games this season, the teams have been pretty well matched but we are second and they are bottom. Can't see them staying down there for too much longer. And up the Broch in the cup.
