🌟We are delighted to announce that GBPT has been awarded £15K from the Pilgrim Trust’s Preservation & Conservation grant towards the redevelopment of Whitevale Baths.

Having lain empty since 2004, GBPT are working to restore the building and create a new home for the children’s charity PEEK.

🏆 We are thrilled to announce that #GBPT have been shortlisted for the Heritage Champion Award in this year’s Inspiring City Awards!

The Herald and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to reinstate the awards with the ceremony taking place on the 8th Sep.

It was a pleasure to connect with a cohort of over 20 heritage organisations representing Heritage Development Trust’s from Kent to north east Scotland.

We are thoroughly looking forward to hosting the next HDT gathering in Glasgow this April.

We enjoyed an action packed two days exploring development success stories across Leicester and were particularly inspired by the transformative public realm improvements delivered by the Greyfriars Townscape Initiative.

A huge thank you to the team at Leicester City Council, The National Lottery Heritage Fund and @archhfund.org.uk for hosting us as part of the Leicester #HeritageDevelopmentTrust (HDT) gathering.

The exhibition explores people’s reasons for starting a new life in Glasgow, interactions with local people, appreciation for Scotland, the culture shock, changing identities, challenges, contributions and hopes for the future.

‘Ye Awright Pal?’ runs till 2 Feb

‘Ye Awright Pal?’, an immersive new exhibition by #MigrantVoice opened last night at the New Glasgow Society. The exhibition features drawings by 100+ migrants living in Glasgow platforming their stories of moving to a new place, both uplifting and sad.

(2/2) Rescued from the Clyde in 2017, the original tiles had weathered the decades when pollution levels from coal smoke in the city were highest. A ‘tide line’ where surfaces had been exposed to the sooty air can clearly be seen, a record of Glasgow’s coal burning past.

To mark #HeritageTreasures day, we are showcasing an original 1905 tile from the West Boathouse, a building brought back to life by GBPT in 2022 with the support of @HeritageFundUK.
