Concluding the week in Johannesburg, the Africa Senate for Methodist Education (ASME), a collaborative effort between AAMIHE and AAUMTI, held its first in-person meeting. ASME aims to evaluate and support the development of Methodist education across Africa.

The associations focused on the theme "Pan-African Collaborative Partnerships for Sustainable Development of Higher Education Institutions." The Board of Directors of the International Association of Methodist Schools, Colleges, and Universities (IAMSCU) joined the conference.

Between October 15 and December 15, United Methodist institutions and organizations in Central Conferences can apply for grants that will support theological education and innovative ministry programs.
