I have a deep admiration for #SciPost, in view of both the mission and the quality of the editorial process.

Hence, I am truly excited to announce my first contribution to SciPost Physics Codebases, which elevates software to the same level of exposure, review and preservation as research papers.

I am looking for a talented postdoc to join my group at EPFL, in Lausanne, Switzerland. Goal is to develop and apply state-of-the-art neural quantum states for electronic structure and related applications. Position to be filled soon, excellent conditions! Apply here: www.epfl.ch/labs/cqsl/jo...
Job Opportunities at CQSL
At the Computational Quantum Science Lab we typically have several openings yearly (at the PhD/ Postdoc level). Applications are reviewed twice a year, at the beginning of April and at the beginning o...

New preprint out!📋

We found a way to evaluate local correlations between electrons as the mutual information between local natural orbitals. So we prove that in the Hubbard model all local correlations are classical and are strongly influenced by nonlocal quantum effects!🔥

Local classical correlations between physical electrons in the Hubbard model
We demonstrate that the local nonfreeness, an unbiased measure of correlation between electrons at a single lattice site, can be computed as the mutual information between local natural spin orbitals....

Today we are on fire, with another preprint out!

arxiv.org/abs/2506.01363

Here we present a major update of EDIpack, our Lanczos impurity solver for DMFT and related methods, featuring many new features, C-bindings for maximal interoperability!
A flexible and interoperable high-performance Lanczos-based solver for generic quantum impurity problems: upgrading EDIpack
EDIpack is a flexible, high-performance numerical library using Lanczos-based exact diagonalization to solve generic quantum impurity problems, such as those introduced in Dynamical Mean-Field Theory ...

Regarding science, I've been recently interested in applying concepts of #qinfo to traditional problems in #str-el. You can find an overview in my PhD thesis, which came out of embargo a few months ago, at
hdl.handle.net/20.500.11767...

Many things are brewing since then, though. Stay tuned!

On twitter I've never posted my flute playing, for some reason. Here I'll start with a snippet of that, to break the ice 😛

(yes, I'm rushing a bit: mic panic)
