I’d say that parachute payments aren’t the problem in the EFL, they’re a symptom of the huge differential between the two leagues.

I suspect that there will be far greater angst if the 3 promoted teams are all parachute beneficiaries. It’s never happened before, just like the 3 promoted teams all being relegated, (until last season).

This is a stand off, who’s got the nuts to blink first 🥜

Absolutely. Temporary stand behind the goal, fans were stamping their feet to keep warm! 🥶

I think Onel Hernandez and Kenny McLean, in January 2018, were the last permanent transfers.

They don’t, but all the initial benefits were personal to the original share purchasers, and therefore incapable of being passed on.

There’s only 32 parties owning 1,000 shares, or more, and about 230 who own more than 100 shares. Vast majority own less than 100 shares, over 5,300 owning 10 or less.

Looks like I’ve dropped to the bomb squad, made to train with the academy kids, just because I wouldn’t sign the terms being offered for the new contract! It was never like this under Delia! 😉😂😂😂

If I’m honest, I don’t fully understand how this works in practice, when clubs flip out of League One, into the Championship. Certainly there’s allowable losses that mean you can lose more than the stated thresholds.

They’ve yet to file their ‘24 accounts, so would have had 3 seasons of L1 regulations in ‘23, with the benefit of “football fortune” regs, which were beneficial, especially with significant share capital receipts.

It should be remembered that 2022, the 1st year in the last cycle, NCFC were in the PL. Add in Max and Andy O sales in 2023, and there would be plenty of headroom.
