I really like the idea of having an event hub account but I don’t think I’m the right person to manage that, I just have my occasional cool ideas.

This is my line of thinking as well, at its core this account will be Gaz-centric, it’s just that I’ve had this one other event idea that doesn’t fit that mould. If I were to do more general events I’d 100% make a new account but rn that’s not really a plan I have in mind atm

It’s not so much Bluesky but Twitter, and since I run event synchronously across platforms I’d want to keep whatever changes and posts uniform. So it’s more so of an issue with the event Twitter which is why I proposed it.

This is especially the case since this Rewind would be a one-off event and the rest of what would go on here would be Gaz related (I might do something at Christmas time as well)

I can definitely understand confusion due to the handle, which is my biggest debate right now, but I’m glad to hear that the tagging looks like it could be a good alternative

One person suggested using tagging to help differentiate events and I would obviously update the banner. What do we think of that idea? I’m here to brainstorm so I’m open to thoughts!

I’d like to keep circulating some engagement while keeping the Rewind event relatively small and it would be the only non-Gaz related things. Additionally it saves people from following yet another account

I totally agree with some of your points, the other downside however is that inactive accounts get suppressed pretty bad when they start to be really active again

If I did go this route I would not change this account but rather make a new one and let this be an archive. Gaz Appreciation Week is an incredibly important even and I wouldn’t want to change its identity entirely

In my eyes I’d rather reuse this account for a small event in between rather than leave it to sit here unused, however I totally understand if people have different opinions. I can always make another account for that event though I’d like to hear people’s thoughts!

The event in question would run in September and is currently titled “CoD Rewind” and is to encourage people to work on their old or abandoned WIPs.

I would intend to keep the user handles all the same as I may run Gaz Week again next year and I do not want to take away from the catalogue of works on this account. However I would like to maintain some form of engagement on here and utilize this account
