My personal tour started in Linköping in May and came to an end on Tuesday back in NYC. Following Ghost from show to show has been the adventure of a lifetime. Sad it’s over but thankful for everyone I met along my journey.

It was a beautiful day in Coney island for the annual Mermaid Parade yesterday. It’s my favorite NYC day of the year!

My first calla lily has started blooming! Excited to see the color develop on this one. I think this one is a white with deep purple center. Also loving the mottled leaves. 😍

Sadly, no aurora. I’m really sad. Stood down by the lake for a long time. Called it quits at 1am as I was alone but also there was a big cloud moving in and there was still too much light. But at least got some post midnight dusk pics. 😭

After a night at satan’s church with Ghost, we woke up early to head to a Sunday service in Oslo’s oldest church where my cousin plays organ. It was lovely. Walked a bit around the city before heading to the bus to Grimstad to visit my aunt. She had waffles waiting.

Interior of a 925 year old church in Oslo. An ornately carved pulpit is on the left in an otherwise simple but breathtaking stone cathedral. A plate stacked high with traditional Norwegian waffles. A warm and delicious welcome from my aunt. My aunts two kitties. On the left a sweet older orange tabby and facing the camera, a younger dilute grey tabby cat. Both are hefty boys.

Yesterday was a lovely, but very windy day in Oslo. Got to hang with some cousins, see The Scream, some famous graves, and Ghost’s final show of their European tour.

Tonight was absolutely incredible. Ghost has upped their game and. I think this was the best show yet! And I ran into friends I made in LA a year and a half ago! Reeling.

Had dinner at the legendary Garlic & Shots in Stockholm. Sat in the Ghost section of the restaurant under the portrait of Papa Emeritus III. Had to have the Ghost burger(complete with communion wafer). And was allowed to put Heck’s bands sticker on the wall!

Also wandered around Stockholm today visiting some awesome record stores, saw some beautiful sights and had a delicious dinner of venison and (maybe a little too much) mead at a Viking restaurant. Heading back into Stockholm tomorrow for more exploring.

Ok, Ghesties. This one’s for you. Visited the Total Metal exhibition in Stockholm today which was a showcase of Swedish heavy metal culture. And of course, Ghost was included!

Forgot to post yesterday so doing a few trip updates. Yesterday was a chill day with a seaside picnic and a nice walk along the Norrtälje harbor.
