I initially did the three faces overlapping idea but it looked too cringe edge lord for what I wanted. also part of my experimentation required splitting will Smith into the primary colors and overlapping them because he was the first result when I searched for a face cutout PNG.
the same image but instead the stars are yellow, the face is pink, the fish is teal and the overlap is dark blue instead of the fish and stars the eyes overlap with two other faces angled to the sides. green sorrow face in the middle, red on the left, and blue on the right. the caption says "original scrapped version" a LOT of splitting several images into red green and blue and overlapping them. many of the faces split into colors are will Smith. there are also images of a face illuminated by red green and blue and it shows just certain light sources in the seperated segments. a similar idea to the scrapped concept but photo bashed from real images, additionally there is a concept of a screaming woman with stretched out even further and there's colorful after images. also a screenshot of my texts with a friend, it shows the will Smith split up testing and I said "you know shits going down when I've split will Smith into his smallest parts" and she replied "what could this possibly be for"
