Both the city and the university have archives in Kingston. During the American Revolution a lot of Americans moved near here as Loyalists to the Crown.

I live about 30 minutes from Kingston, Ontario and was born in Toledo, Ohio.
Some stuff could not be found for my tree in Salt Lake City, and some stuff was incorrect, even though the Mormons run one of the largest and best sites. I had to go to Quebec City for info on my mom's family.
