If public health had honestly informed everyone from the outset that COVID causes, among other terrible things, long term organ damage—and that everyone’s under threat—more people would probably still be masking now.

If public health had honestly informed everyone from the outset that COVID causes, among other terrible things, long term organ damage—and that everyone’s under threat—more people would probably still be masking now.
Sadly we live in selfish times, so the message to mask primarily for others doesn’t resonate with many people. And actually, the notion that COVID is dangerous only for immunocompromised people is disinformation—everyone’s potentially vulnerable. Wear a mask to protect your long term health.
