The Pope has died. Now begins the Vatican Conclave to select a replacement with insight into processes, politics, intrigue, and agendas. Many plot twists and one that drew gasps from the audience! Beautifully filmed with great performances by Fiennes, Tucci, Lithgow, and Rossellini.

4.5/5 stars.

A B'way musical with serious themes that just started its national tour in Schenectady, NY with a large cast, great staging, and powerful performances. Set mostly in Atlanta, GA 1865-1915, it's a sad/maddening course in southern justice. A true story with a criminal case that was reopened in 2019!

The economy is changing exponentially and finding your place in the world is a constant struggle. P Anderson is devoid of the glamour she worked to achieve and Las Vegas is depicted the same way. J L Curtis is quirky and D Bautista solid. Extra credit to films that make me think for days. 4/5 stars.

Based on William S Burroughs book "Queer" with the same storytelling style. A confusing plot, an art house feel, and two dysfunctional gay men that don't generate any empathy. Their relationship seems in line with the movie's reviews...polarized between love and indifference. For me it's 2/5 stars.

Discover Mustafa and Scar in this prequel. They find each other as cubs and their adventures take them to a mystical land while resisting an evil pride bent on domination.

The animation is incredible and a huge “character” that can be distracting. See it on the biggest screen possible. 4.5/5 stars.

American folk music was gaining popularity in the 1950-60’s. Bob Dylan, an unknown artist, burst onto the scene and transformed the whole genre. The film feels lush even tho many settings are dimly lit. Chalamet is excellent and Norton subtle. Both sing/play their own instruments. Talent! 5/5 stars.

Babygirl is an erotic thriller showing the complexity of sex and relationships - both real and fantasized. Nicole Kidman is stunning in a slow-burn relationship with Harris Dickinson. Antonio Banderas leads a top notch supporting cast. You don’t want to see this with a parent or child. 😀 5/5 stars.
