Praised by Kubrick, The Vanishing (1990) is a riveting, terrifying film that succeeds in its simplicity & realism. If you’re one who thrives on fast pacing and rapid turns of plot it may be too much of a slow burn, but I was engaged start to finish and really savored the details and atmosphere.

There’s a wealth of info on it at www.ga4bigquery.com. Some very helpful free content, and some available via an annual subscription. The sub is well worth the fee IMO if you’re new to the data model and all of its idiosyncrasies.
