But if we are REALLY being honest, the committee wanted Alabama in but fear the backlash from last year’s controversy

I do see both sides to the argument, but instead of choosing Bama’s side I tend to lean towards the playoffs still being very flawed. Alabama, Miami, and South Carolina in some ways all deserved a spot as well

That’s a fair argument about SMU’s schedule, the ACC conference was just so lackluster this year. However I think the committee saw how Alabama’s loses (besides Tennessee) we’re just so glaring because of how embarrassing they were

And let me preface this, I think Travis Hunter is the best athlete in college football currently, period. I just personally think the Heisman should be awarded based on stats and team difference. Jeanty has done that significantly more than Hunter.
