I had this very discussion with a British immigrant here in France. He called himself an expat, voted for brexit and believed that it failed because it was not enacted. A complete nutter. I asked him why he could not speak french after 15 yrs - silence.

I met a reform voter here in France. He can't speak french and has no intention to learn. But, the rules are changing here and new arrivals will need a reasonable level of french.

I genuinely do not see how this would resolve the issue. The lack of social housing is part of the problem. But, getting houses to be more affordable is a real challenge.

I tried to discuss this with some friends recently. There seems to be a RW dialogue that these are not fishing boats, but high speed drug boats. I take the view that extra-judicial killing is wrong. But, is there any good reliable evidence on what these boats are?

I find it amusing that they think taking a title away is punishment. The dislocation from reality and the implied entitlement is worrying. He is a paedophile, treat him and punish him as a paedophile.
