Wonderful episode! Personally (other than the YOLT volcano) the minute anyone mentions Ken Adam my mind goes straight to the spider room in Dr No - so simple but utterly iconic and sinister

Third movie is always stong. The ‘correct’ answer has to be Goldfinger but personally enjoy Skyfall more. Honourable mentions to the other two as well which are also strong.

Best song on a hit and miss album - no coincidence that it was composed in their heyday

The parkour chase has to top them all, clearly defining that Craig wasn’t Brozza

Has to be the 60s… not a single flop amongst those movies

His exchange with Elektra in TWINE. Felt like we were finally tapping into the soul beneath the surface of Bond.

Weak villain and meandering plot. The finale was brave but deeply unpopular too.

Both are great but the subtle switch from SMERSH to SPECTRE as the main antagonists in the movie actually enhances the story (even if it was made for politically correct reasons). Plus there’s Connery of course who was seldom better than he is here. So the movie wins for me.

From Russia With Love just edges Goldfinger on the performance for me

Kananga was a decent villain, Mr Big was not so undermined the role. Scaramanga and Zorin were stronger

All hugely entertaining but YOLT edges it for me - epic, iconic and, of course, has Connery

Dalton is my favourite Bond after Connery. Always used to go with LTK but the older I get the more I lean to TLD… the Cold War overtones and Bond’s chemistry with Kara edge it for me. LTK is still great but the movies are somewhat eclipsed by the Craig era which went further on that theme

The World Is Not Enough definitely. Whilst clumsy in places (looking at you Dr Jones) it’s far richer and a superb fake-out villainess. Tomorrow Never Dies is somewhat prophetic with it’s corrupt media themes and Michelle Yeoh rocks in it, but it’s largely Bond by numbers
