Then why the fuck are you saying I’m wrong. Delete your posts brother it’s a bad look.

Ie a province can’t make a law about X because that’s exclusively federal jurisdiction. What the UCP are doing is squarely within provincial jurisdiction.
November 19, 2025 at 7:18 PM
No they didn’t. The court said “oh we still can say the law is unconstitutional but since you used the notwithstanding clause the court has no authority to invalidate the law”.

The closest that a court has ever come to ruling on the matter is if the legislation was preempted by jurisdiction.

Oooh you’re just a transphobic bigoted piece of shit anyways. bsky.app/profile/gdni...
November 19, 2025 at 7:12 PM
Centrist pieces of shit like you decided that’s too “toxic” and let the fascists win. Look at the most recent elections in the US, candidates that actually defend trans rights out perform those that don’t while allowing the right to smear them (Kamala).
November 19, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Oh you clearly don’t understand how politics works and issues like this are actually viewed by the population. Trans rights are actually quite popular as long as you actually fight for them. North Carolina lost out on billions of dollars because of a bathroom bill in 2016 but then
November 19, 2025 at 7:11 PM
The point of the notwithstanding clause is that courts cannot rule on it. It’s a free pass to violate specific rights in the charter without judicial involvement.

There are some extremely rare cases where gender affirming surgeries can be given to trans minors but that number can probable be counted on your hands.
November 19, 2025 at 6:58 PM
Lots changes. 1) teachers and schools are required to ask for parental consent (forced outing) if a child wants to use a preferred name or pronoun 2) the use of puberty blockers to trans children only is made illegal, that’s a recommended medical treatment by all sane medical societies.
November 19, 2025 at 6:58 PM
It’s extremely extremely rare even in larger populations like the US. But you’ll get a case where it’s like a 17 year old trans man gets top surgery in the summer before college because they turn 18 during the academic year so they do it early to avoid affecting school. Which is fine.
November 19, 2025 at 6:55 PM
I mean that’s what Quebec used to do.
November 19, 2025 at 6:51 PM
Which they couldn’t. No court could find a compelling government interest in preventing gender affirming care using the ridiculous framing of “sterilisation”. Vasectomies, hysterectomies, salpingectomies, all perfectly legal.

The republicans have not been giving us their best these last few go arounds. This guy, bowflex guy, crying guy, pedo guy. Don’t forget mccarthy who was booted by his own party after 7 months.
November 18, 2025 at 10:24 PM
Which would be fine if they still were a crown corporation but we can’t have nice things.
