In 1974, with Keith Botsford, Glanville produced what I would say is the greatest piece of football journalism ever - the exposure of a decade of corruption involving referees by Italian clubs in Europe, incredible

So Doucoure scored fastest goal
- for #efc first-team at 10 secs (previous Kendall @ 14 secs v Chelsea in Mar '70)
- in first-team game at GP (was Colin Clarke for Bournemouth @ 11 secs in Sep '85)
- but NOT fastest in GP history, still David Johnson in FA Youth Cup (Dec '69)

Was the appointment of Mike Walker in 1994 a move to secure a coveted manager or a compromise between the #efc board and the two groups fighting to take over the club? Read about it in 'The End'. Buy here or via the usual outlets.

John Moores: a force for good who ultimately had a negative influence? There is a long chapter in 'The End' - my history of #efc between 1985 & 94 - about his time and how it explains why we are where we are today. Buy it here and usual outlets:

In 'The End' my history of #EFC from 1985 to 1994, I talk extensively about the European ban. An unfair punishment which badly affected the club or something used to mask the failings of the board and squad? You can buy it here and other outlets.

A sensible replacement for Howard Kendall in 1987 or a rash appointment that carried a lot of risk? Colin Harvey's tenure analysed in 'The End', my history of #efc between 1987 to 1994. You can buy it here or in the usual outlets.

Right what was a quiz in the pub with my mates on Saturday - hence lots of LFC and EFC questions - has had more than 1 million views across X/BlueSky. Thanks for the feedback and here are the answers. Enjoy!

Apart from being great footballers - well one of us is - me and Dobo were both signing books in St Luke's last night. Thanks to those who came.

Sir Philip Carter - in my new book 'The End' I ask whether in the late-1980s his wider ambitions in the game meant he took his eye off the day job as #efc chairman to Colin Harvey's detriment. You can buy it here:

Happy 80th birthday to the greatest living Evertonian, everything that's great about #efc is embodied by Colin Harvey. Two bits from Money Can't Buy Us Love, the second being the Echo's tribute when he left in 1974.
